Author Biography

Armand Vaquer is an insurance claims examiner who traveled to Japan six times scouting locations used in Japanese science-fiction and fantasy movies such as "Godzilla" and "Rodan." "The Monster Movie Fan's Guide To Japan" is the product of his visits.

He served as a member of the California Reagan delegations to the 1976, 1980 and 1984 Republican National Conventions.

He was a contributing writer for G-FAN magazine from 2001 to 2009. He currently has his own blog, "Armand's Rancho Del Cielo" and contributes to the "Monster Island News" and "Godzilla 2012" blogs.

He graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science.

He resides in Tarzana, California and has one daughter.
