Author of the Halloween bestseller THE AUTUMN LAND, INTERFERENCE, FEW ARE CHOSEN, and THE KUKULKAN MANUSCRIPT, James Steimle a.k.a. Jim Blackstone is an elementary school teacher, hobby physicist, and over-educated historian.
James has studied nine languages, served as editor of THE LITTLE ROCK DIGEST for five years and as creative consultant for James Earwicker's table-top roll-playing game, ANDROMEDA 2500, has published short fiction throughout the US, Canada, and Great Britain.
His tales have made appearances in such award-winning science fiction magazines as NEO-OPSIS and ALBEDO ONE, and has been honored twice in the WRITER'S DIGEST Writing Competition. His story "The Supplanter" was praised in Ellen Datlow's THE BEST HORROR OF THE YEAR.
James Steimle is also the author THE ROOM THAT WASN'T THERE, THE GHOST PEOPLE, AN ELEMENTARY HISTORY OF THE WORLD, "Inside of Me" (which was anthologized in FORBIDDEN SPECULATION), and the award-winning stories "Pearl of Great Price" and "The Happy Dog and the Lonely Cat".
While he has often been compared to Ray Bradbury, Aldous Huxley, William F. Nolan, and George Orwell, the majority of his numerous published stories have been classified as literary, mystery, fantasy, horror, and even Christian work.
